Pray for your loved ones.
Just because you see your friend living large on social media doesn’t mean they have it all together and watching them on snapchat or commenting “yasss” on their pictures doesn’t equate to checking up on them. Soz. I’m guilty of this too but we can all work on it together. 😊
People are truly fighting battles and dealing with internal issues that we are usually oblivious to. Pray for the ones you care about and check up on them from time to time. Even the ones that I’m not necessarily close to, if they cross my mind, I try to pray for them.
There are people in my life that I care deeply about, that I don’t necessarily talk to too often, however, I do try to constantly pray for them because I know the power of prayer. Prayer truly works. PRAYER WORKS! LET ME LOUD IT AGAIN: PUUHRRAAYERRRR WORRRRKSSS! and your words are powerful enough to move mountains.
Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
John 14:13-14 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it<<<<
times (most times) I definitely don’t know what to pray about for people especially the ones that I don’t talk to as often, but this verse gives me comfort, and I just ask the holy spirit to intercede on their behalf. “26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because[a] the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.” (Romans 8:26-27)
Also, if you’re going through a tough time, please ask for help and don’t bottle it in. Go to counseling if you must, talk to someone that you trust and ask them to pray for you. Also, share what’s going on and don’t hold back. Sometimes just talking and pouring out thoughts/feelings can be therapeutic. You ever talk to somebody about a problem you’re having and as you’re talking to them, it starts to make more sense, you get an answer to your problem, and the person you went to for advice didn’t even have to say anything? Yep.
That’s what the body of Christ is for, to build each other up. We are not meant to walk this journey alone. “25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.” (1 Corinthians 12:25-26)
Physically, when I’m not feeling well, I will typically go to the doctor. At the doctor’s they ask for a lot of information and ask me all sorts of question that sometimes seem irrelevant to me. They will then treat me and give me a diagnosis as well as prescription medicine.
Likewise, spiritually, mentally, emotionally if you’re hurting, go to God in prayer, and just talk to him, tell him everything, even things that might seem irrelevant to you. Sometimes, our breakthrough is attached to repressed things that we have deemed as irrelevant or unimportant.
This is my prayer for you guys.
I don’t know what you’re going through right now, I don’t know what battles you are fighting, what breakthroughs you are waiting for, I don’t know the hurt that you are experiencing, but I know that God is all knowing, ever-present, oh so faithful, full of mercy and full of favor and our very present help in times of trouble. He knows exactly what you need, he knows the answer that you are looking for, and so I ask that he grants unto you, your heart desires, and I ask that he shows you mercy, I ask that he heals you and I ask that he makes his presence known to you continually. You will seek God and you will find him, and when you feel alone, I pray that you remember that he is God and that he will never leave you or forsake you. Whatever season it is you’re going through; seasons of good and plentiful, I say thank you father God, I pray that joy and celebration will never cease from your mouth. In seasons of doubt, hurt and fear; I ask that God reveals himself to you and that he grants unto you, peace, comfort, and healing. I pray that he helps you feel the unconditional love, joy, peace, and freedom that comes with knowing him. I pray that the Holy Spirit will remove any fear from your heart, and Holy Spirit I ask that you intercede on their behalf, and restore unto them anything (joy, peace of mind, security, freedom) that has been stolen from them. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray and ask with thanksgiving. Amen.
“Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference.” – Max Lucado
